Mamasake
Squaw Valley

  • Yelp Reviews When you're in Tahoe, in the middle of a blizzard, you don't expect to encounter a good sushi restaurant, but that's exactly what my family was pleasantly surprised to find tonight. The decor was more a chic, colored lighting, industrial/warehouse feel than authentic Japanese, which made for a nice change from your garden variety bamboo, paper thin doors and tatami mats.
  • About An immediate hit since it opened, MAMASAKE is a social gathering place as much as it is a restaurant with great food. Decorated with colorful murals by Stephan Knapp and architectural details such recycled railroad ties from multiple colored hardwoods, our windows offer a view of the infamous Tram Face and KT22 fingers- accenting the comfortable “mountain casual” atmosphere.
  • The Food From the freshest Sashimi, Nigiri and creative Maki Rolls to out-of-the-ordinary “tapas”, our personal approach to fusion fare has earned us fans that return again and again. Crowd favorites include Mamas Balls (inari pocket stuffed with a fresh seafood salad), tempura and a changing chef’s sashimi special.
  • Home Page Cal-Asian restaurant at Squaw Valley offering eclectic combinations that reflects Japanese, Italian and Latin American influences. Six Peaks Grille (Resort at Squaw Creek)
Squaw Valley

  • Yelp Reviews Came here with a few friends for her bday during our stay at the squaw creek resort (which is beautiful btw). The prices were great for being an upscale restaurant, but the food was decent; pretty good, but not the best that I've had. I had the filet mignon with whipped mashed potatoes, while my other friends ordered the filet mignon with caramelized potatoes. We also ordered a lobster appetizer and a shrimp one which were both really good.
